Wings | Alternative Design Services for Rowing Boat Facility
Different from the traditional cast in place concrete work, prefabrication of concrete structures has been treated as emerging trend for coping with various challenges of construction industry.
In this project, precast concrete modules are designed by us to serve as a stabilization structure (Concrete Sinker) for proposed rowing boat facilities at Shing Mun River. Those modules can assemble to waffle likely container with rock fill in various sizes to counter different usage, site constraint, etc. This innovative design can greatly decrease the use of construction material and mitigate environmental impact to river.
Planning for mobilization of pre-cast modules is also investigated. Without prejudice to public use, river road transportation is adopted. With the consideration of headroom clearance and seabed level, size of barge and modification of lifting frame are also examined and designed.
